It truly is Delhi 6, portrays old Delhi in its full colour flavour and aroma. the film was just okie, but the brilliance of Rahman resonates in the songs.......
Delhi 6 didn't have thew depth emotionally and the film just escaped from being a philosophical lecture.....
there was li'l scope for performance for all the actors... and may be because of that, all the actors did justice to the roles. it was packed with characters and more characters that the story kept jumping from one branch to another.
Divya Dutta, Atul Kulkarni, Cyrus, Vijay Raaz, and all the supporting actors do deserve an applause.
Ofcourse the social relevance of the film is doubtful and vague, and it looks more like a moral science class.
ROMP, a lot was expected from him after RDB and this film just puts you down.......!
Sonam kapoor and abhishek looks nice together, but then that chemistry just comes in bits and pieces.
Including the play of RAmayana in the narrative structure of the film was good, but then the story lacked the soul.
It was a nice experiment to treat the film differently and by placing the songs in every 5 - 10 mins, it looked like a musical.... that has got nothing else, but just magical music....!
the song of Abhishek's dream sequence was a very nice thought and execution, but then the element of fantasy went overboard....!
watch out for the sequence how modern day politics tamper with our ethics and the portrayal of it....! that part is done nicely but has got no connection with the film.
All other technical aspects of the film are good... but not excellent...!
the film can be watched once... for Rahman's music, bits and pieces of touching moments and for the pakka flavour pf old delhi...and the movie again stick to the very basics of film making..... and story telling....Good V/s Evil.

Amitabh bachan coming in the last few minutes was just of no use...!
and that sequence just escaped the rough reaction of the audience... just because it was AB and Juniour AB. :)
It truly is delhi 6, but then the story shud have been a lot stronger....!
